Ever since the release of his hit single, “Gucci Gang,” rapper Lil Pump has become the one to watch in the hip hop industry. Information regarding Pump’s contract with Warner Bros. previously released stating that his contract was voided because he was a minor when he initially signed the deal.

As a result, DJ Khaled, the iconic producer and record label executive, took to social media to express his interest in signing Lil Pump to his We the Best Music label. DJ Khaled further expressed his interest in the rising artist as he posted a series of photos on Instagram of Lil Pump and his team meeting with him at his Miami home. Among one of the many photos he captioned, “MOGUL TALK!! STILL IN THE MEETING!!!! I TOLD MY LAWYER THIS IS URGENT !!”

However, he isn’t the first to express his interest in signing Pump. Previously, Gucci Mane was one of the first to publicly add his name in the running as a potential contender in signing Pump. “1017 you name the price,” wrote Gucci in a comment to Pump on Instagram.  The 1017 Brick Squad is the official record label founded by Gucci Mane. The label has previously signed popular hip hop artists such as Chief Keef, Young Thug, Waka Flocka Flame, Young Scooter and OJ da Juiceman.

Lil Pump’s admired single hit No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and he has gained over 20 million followers via streaming platforms. It has become apparent Lil Pump is officially an artist in demand.
